Test results Print

The following table is a summary of two separate - before and after - tests, on an oily water separator system in Cape Town. The first test was done on the 12th May 2009, and the follow up test on the 8th June 2009.

These tests were conducted by an independent laboratory - a division of Eskom. We have copies of the original documentation for those who wish to see them. We are also happy to arrange for you to use this or any other laboratory of your choice for testing your own site effluent or the site of spillage.

The test results were given the following remarks:

  • Before test - Water of this quality is unsuitable for discharge into a sewer. COD exceeds the limit. Oil / sludge traps should be cleaned on a regular basis.
  • After test - Water of this quality is acceptable for discharge into a sewer.
